Gwent, South Wales: Motorway v marshes (January 2008)
Plans for a new relief road are threatening Wild Meadows and marshes in the Gwent Levels, large areas of which have already been lost in recent decades due to industrial development, intensive agiculture and roads.

  Publication of Wild About Meadows: Manifesto for the Wild Meadows of Wales
21 April 2008. Flora locale and The Grasslands Trust publish the Manifesto, calling for urgent action to halt the decline of Wild Meadows in Wales. Among the agenda identified in the Manifesto, is for agri-environment schemes in Wales to be improved so that farmers are provided with a better incentive to look after and restore Wild Meadows on their land.
